The term ‘team building’ is often used to describe a solution when problems exist within a particular area. In truth developing your team should be a more positive and ongoing process that allows individuals to perform effectively within team situations. The success of many Local Government functions is based on teamwork and increasingly this involves cross-functional teams and teams formed in partnership with other organisations. The manager’s role is to bring the team members together and achieve a focussed effort and synergy. This course identifies practical activities and solutions to secure these aims. Participants will leave the course with a list of practical actions they can take with their team to enhance performance and service.
